The President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam on Raksha Bandhan day addresses the general public with the Prime Minister. Together they greet the nation on the event of Raksha Bandhan. The President believes that the sacred celebration of Raksha Bandhan is a unique festival of India. It is, in fact, ‘unique’ as Rakhi festivity commemorates the bond of love, affection and mutual trust between a sister and a brother. Besides, he also believes the occasion and observance reminds all of us about the Indian values, customs and traditions.
